3 Indicators of a Phishing Scam
- Check the verbiage in the email. If it doesn't look right, investigate further. Example of this may be typos or incomplete sentences.
- Always be cautious of emails that ask you to click on a link and/or sign in with your credentials, especially if it is from somebody or a company that you do not know. Ask a supervisor if you are unsure about the email.
- Always verify the email address that an email is coming from, regardless of what the name may display.
